YTL's Three Phase Kwh Meter

Zhejiang Yongtailong Electronic Co., Ltd., established in 2000, is strategically located at the center of Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Suzhou. As a professional manufacturer, we specialize in the design and production of three-phase smart meters (3-phase smart meter), which are cost-effective and ideal for Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solutions in both residential and industrial applications.

YTL was one of the first companies in the domestic market to establish an internal R&D department and engage in international sales. We are committed to developing and designing a wide range of electronic energy meters, including three-phase kilowatt-hour meters (three phase kWh meter) and their accompanying concentrators and solution applications. Our products are known for their compact size, multifunctionality, low power consumption, and excellent performance, meeting the diverse specifications required by our national and international partners.

Currently, YTL has become a leading company in technology and product exports to over 60 countries worldwide, with an annual completion of more than 68 projects and holding over 500 design patents. Our advanced technology and innovations in current sampling further enhance our competitive edge. We also offer one-on-one service to our partners, ensuring optimal solutions and support.

What is three phase kwh meter?

A three-phase kWh meter is a device used to measure and record the energy consumption of electrical power in a three-phase electrical system. It calculates the total amount of electrical energy (in kilowatt-hours) consumed by a load connected to a three-phase power supply and displays the result on a digital or mechanical display. The meter typically consists of three current transformers, three voltage transformers, and an electronic circuit for measuring and processing the electrical signals. It is commonly used in commercial and industrial settings to monitor and track energy usage for billing purposes.

What are the advantages of three phase kwh meter?

There are several advantages of using a three-phase kilowatt-hour (kWh) meter:
1.Increased accuracy: Three-phase meters are more accurate compared to single-phase meters as they measure all three phases simultaneously, providing a more accurate measurement of energy consumption.
2.Improved power distribution: A three-phase meter allows for a more efficient distribution of power, as it can handle larger loads compared to single-phase meters.
3.Increased reliability: Three-phase meters are less prone to failure as they have three separate circuits, reducing the risk of complete system failure.
4.Cost savings: Installing a three-phase meter can lead to cost savings as it enables more efficient power distribution, reducing the need for additional equipment such as transformers.
5.Improved safety: Three-phase meters are safer as they provide better protection against overloading, reducing the risk of electrical fires.

How to calculate kW on a 3-phase meter?

In the power system, 3 phase kilowatt hour meter is widely used, from industrial motors to large transformers, to the transmission and distribution of power grids, all of which are inseparable from the support of 3 phase kwh meter. In these applications, accurately measuring and calculating the power of kwh meter 3 phase, especially the kilowatt (kW) value, is very important for the stable operation and energy efficiency management of the power system.
Three-phase electricity refers to a power supply system composed of three alternating potentials with the same frequency, equal amplitude, and phase difference of 120°. In a three phase kilowatt hour meter, each phase can transmit electric energy independently, and the three phases can be balanced with each other to reduce harmonics and imbalance in the power grid.
In a three-phase circuit, kilowatt (kW) is a unit of power, which means the electric energy consumed per unit time. There are generally the following methods to calculate the kilowatt value on a three phase smart energy meter:
1. Direct reading method: Modern three-phase meters usually have a display screen that can directly display the total power (kW) of the three-phase circuit. Users only need to read the value on the display screen.
2. Formula calculation method: If the meter does not directly display the power value, the user can measure the three-phase voltage (U) and the three-phase current (I), and then use the formula P=√3UIcosφ (where φ is the power factor angle) to calculate the kilowatt value. This method requires the user to have certain knowledge of electricity and measurement skills.
3. Integration method: In some cases, in order to obtain a more accurate power value, the integration method can be used for calculation. This method requires the voltage and current measurement values to be integrated, and then the power is calculated based on the integration results. This method is usually used for energy efficiency analysis and optimization of power systems.
