This system separates the measurement unit (MCU) from the user interface unit (CIU). The meter itself is typically installed in a secure, locked cabinet or high on a pole, while the CIU is placed inside the customer’s home for easy credit entry. As a leading manufacturer, Zhejiang Yongtailong utilizes Power Line Communication (PLC) or Radio Frequency (RF) to link the two units. This architecture makes energy theft virtually impossible because the billing hardware is out of reach for the consumer. Fully STS compliant, these meters allow for 20-digit token entry and provide real-time feedback on credit balance and consumption, making them the preferred choice for utilities in high-risk areas or large-scale housing projects.

    A: The CIU features a programmable audible buzzer and a flashing LED that alerts you when the balance drops below a certain threshold (e.g., 10kWh).
