YTL’s Split-type Smart Meters (MCU) are the ultimate solution for utility revenue protection and anti-tamper security. This system separates the Measurement Control Unit (MCU) from the User Interface Unit (CIU). As a leading manufacturer, Zhejiang Yongtailong has designed the MCU to be installed in a secure, locked cabinet or high on a pole, away from potential consumer interference. The MCU performs all metrology functions and manages the integrated 100A relay. It communicates with the indoor CIU via Power Line Communication (PLC) or RF. This architecture makes energy theft virtually impossible because the billing hardware is physically inaccessible to the user, while still providing full smart metering features like STS prepayment and remote data collection.

The system ensures that 100% of the energy consumed is recorded, while the customer can still conveniently monitor their balance via a safe, low-voltage connection to their indoor unit.
