There are 3 major elements of the remote control system: smart meter, meter data collector and remote management software on the computer.
- Smart meter
Smart meters are the basis for remote management and the terminal equipment of the management system.The smart electricity meter first collects the user's current and voltage in real time by an A/D converter or a metering chip, and then analyzes, processes and calculates through a microprocessor, and then outputs the power and other content by means of communication and display. The electric meter has RS-485 communication and infrared communication interfaces to exchange data with external devices.
- meter data collector
The RS-485 communication interface of the smart meter is connected to the meter collector, which can simultaneously complete the data collection of multiple smart meters, run storage and send the data to the background server through GPRS communication, mainly to complete the data transmission to the upper level.
- remote management software on the computer
The remote management system performs statistical processing and analysis on the sent meter data, and performs personalized design functions according to different needs of users. It mainly realizes the remote control of the meter, remote meter reading, remote recharge, report printing and other operations, as well as the overall system running status is monitored, managed, stored, recorded, etc.
